Opening

Van der Valk Brussels Airport opened its doors in August 2009 under the leadership of Ruud de Bruijn, 4th generation of Van der Valk, and his wife Fenna.^e generatie Van der Valk, en zijn vrouw Fenna.

As a former Golden Tulip hotel, the building immediately received a makeover. The toucan quickly looked proudly over the Brussels Ring and the national airport. The interior was also made Van der Valk's own. A coziness was created where everyone quickly feels at home. At Van der Valk Hotel Brussels Airport, family traditions and values are highly cherished. EXPANSION

Our hotel started with 184 rooms and 10 meeting rooms. Our largest and most exclusive Diamond room is the perfect location for a wedding party. We were incredibly proud to welcome the first couple in 2010. Since then, we have witnessed several weddings.

Due to unprecedented success in the Brussels area, our hotel quickly needed expansion: a fitness center with a beautiful view over the airport. A chalet, ideal for a summer aperitif or cozy New Year's drink. Additional meeting rooms to meet the high demand. New room types in the Wings section.

Over the past years, the growth has increased more and more. After 10 years, we are proud of what we have achieved so far. The hotel now has 246 rooms and 16 meeting rooms. The Catharina restaurant offers delicious à la carte dining at a high culinary level, and the Bar & Lounge, where you can enjoy a cozy cup of coffee or refreshing cocktail.

Our chalet has been further expanded with a real ice rink in the winter. And our Garden of Secrets with a unique dome tent provides space for a relaxed and atmospheric summer lounge or winter garden.

In addition to the renovations in recent years, we are also incredibly proud of our unique single-person Superbox rooms equipped with all kinds of fun gadgets.
